Governor endorses Honor Bell’s efforts

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has endorsed the Honor Bell Foundation’s efforts to support veterans and honor those who have served. We are honored that Governor Hickenlooper recognizes the value, service, and respect that the Bell Honors Program, Veterans Outreach Program, and Education and Community Outreach Program bring to our communities. We are writing to express our support for the Honor Bell Foundation, a Colorado-founded nonprofit that provides assistance to the veteran community.
Founded in 2014 with a mission to demonstrate the utmost dignity, honor and respect to veterans, fallen service members, and first responders by the tolling of a bell, Honor Bell Foundation’s mission is to provide a respectful, final honor at their funerals.
Military service is an important past of Colorado’s past, present, and future. With seven military instillations, 50,000 men and women on active duty, and over 400.000 veterans, we are a state that honors those who serve. Therefore, it is fitting that The Honor Bell Foundation would be launched in Colorado to ensure our veteran community is supported, that those who have served and sacrificed are respected, and that they receive every honor at the time of their passing. We believe that programs provided by The Honor Bell Foundation offer the necessary veneration to the honorable service of veterans across Colorado and the United States.
As The Honor Bell Foundation grows, we will remain proud of their roots in our state.
Sincerely,
John W. Hickenlooper
Governor
