Save the date for our Veterans Appreciation Event, November 7th

Since casting the Honor Bell in 2016, we have rendered Bell Honors at over 1,100 funerals and 150 public and school events. Our activities would not be possible without our volunteers. Please join us to thank them and celebrate their service.

The Honor Bell is a 1,000-pound bronze bell cast with artifacts from Colorado’s military servicemen and women, and tolled exclusively by Colorado’s veterans at graveside and memorial services. Our volunteers have devoted countless hours to honoring their fellow service members, educating schoolchildren about the importance of military service, and joining the community in celebrating the memory of those who served.

In addition to saluting our volunteers, we will have a complimentary screening of the film, Taking Chance. In 2004, US Marine Lt. Col. Michael Strobl volunteered to provide dignified escort for the body of 19-year-old Marine Chance Phelps back to his hometown of Dubois, Wyoming. Strobl wrote an essay on his experience which was made into this poignant film. Chance’s Lance Corporal insignia, Enlisted Dress Insignia, and his Rifle Expert badge are among the artifacts that are now a part of the Honor Bell.

Please join us on November 7th in honoring and celebrating the people who make the Honor Bell heard. Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $20.
