Tracy Turner, the Honor Bell Foundation’s first Director of Bell Honors, retired today. Turner, a 24-year Navy veteran, was selected by the foundation’s late founder Louis Olivera to serve in this critical position. Turner came to the job at a time when the Honor Bell was performing a rapidly increasing number of Bell Honors missions.

Turner was indispensable, serving in many roles including training the foundation’s corps of Bell Guards, acting as a liaison between the Honor Bell team and cemetery and funeral representatives; and serving as Bell Major and Belladier when needed. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication to his fellow veterans and mission of the Honor Bell will be missed. Turner has spent the past few weeks training his replacement, Mr. David Earp, who officially steps into the role of Director today.
